‘Ghost’ of child captured in abandoned Boscastle cottage by supernatural investigators – Cornwall Live

Cornwall’s resident ghost hunters have once again spotted something otherworldly in pictures they took while exploring the county’s most haunted places. Candice Collins, from Falmouth, goes where the superstitious dare not as part of her group, the Cornish Ghost Whispers.

The group consists of Candice, partner Nick Pierce and mum Susanne. Candice has previously shared with CornwallLive sightings of everything from ghost dogs to demons to the spirit of a tin miner.

The latest finding, Candice said, came after reviewing some footage captured last winter. She told CornwallLive that the ghost hunters went to Boscastle after rumours that Minster Church was haunted.

She said: “We’d heard it was really haunted and went to do one of our Facebook Lives there. We couldn’t go all the way down into it due to signal, and while we were in Boscastle we noticed there was this abandoned little cottage.”

The cottage, Candice said, is rumoured to be a mediaeval witch burial ground. Candice, who previously explained that she was sensitive to the paranormal, described feeling unsettled the moment she walked in.

She recalled: “It was very thick with energy, it was really strange. Very dark, no windows. There was an old fireplace, and these pieces of wood were put on the floor like a pentagram. Someone had been in there, it was just a really strange creepy weird thing to find.”

The group looked around, and nothing apart from the unsettling feeling was noted until just a few days ago when Candice flicked through her camera. She had taken a picture of the disused fireplace, which in and of itself looked incredibly creepy in the low light.

But in the top-right corner of the frame, she noticed a face. The image, shared with CornwallLive, appeared to be of a child. Candice couldn’t explain it, but said she’d love to revisit the cottage at some point to investigate it further.
